Delhi: At 3.9 degrees Celsius, capital wakes up to coldest morning of the season

The national capital awoke to a cold and foggy morning today, with visibility of 0 metres recorded at the IGI Airport from 4.30 am onwards. The city’s minimum temperature was 3.9 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal, and the lowest in the winter season so far. Yesterday, The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a “yellow” alert for “dense fog” at isolated parts of the city and adjoining areas like Haryana and Chandigarh.
